Eglises

There are so many churches in Paris. It's wonderful. There are a few famous ones and then lots of other not so famous ones that are equally as beautiful. Here is a gallery (seriously...) of the churches that I visited while in Paris.

le Val-de-Grace
This is a church/ museum near Luxembourg Park. My favorite part was definitely the beautifully detailed ceilings.

Notre Dame
Notre Dame is magnificent. She is beautiful inside and out.
It is amazing to me that churches from the 12th century still exist and are intact.

Saint Chapelle
Saint Chapelle the best preserved interior of any church in Paris. The ground story has all it's original paint.
I walked up to the second story and it took my breath away. The walls are almost pure stained glass.

Eglise de la Madeleine

The random church we happened upon

Sacre Coeur
We went here twice. Once at night and then again the next morning. It is up on this giant hill so you can always see it when you're looking out over the city. My favorite thing about this church is the mosaics. The inside is just covered with gorgeous, ornate mosaics.

All of these places have a special spirit in them. They are houses of God where people gather to worship Him.
